The Division of Geriatrics at the University of California, San Francisco with support from doctors Sei Lee, Alex Smith, Louise Walter and Eric Widera have created a comprehensive, physician-focused website called that aggregates several life expectancy calculators or mortality indices.

After significant discussion on the ePrognosis message boards and in the New York Times New Old Age blog, it was decided to allow the public access to these tools. However, users should be aware to that to properly interpret the results provided by these indices, one should have medical training.
